This is Ellen's daughter Lynn hijacking her blog. Actually just wanted to update everyone that Ellen had surgery today and it went really well. The chemo and radiation worked really well and shrunk the tumor down to where it was barely visable. Doctor is pleased with the results of the surgery. Ellen is in her room and pain is under control with an epidural for the next few days. She is alert and talkative. Recovery time is expected to be awhile. Her mood is upbeat and positive. Her family thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time.

Ellen, I just got your card and letter, and now I know why I hadn't heard from you lately. I'm so glad the surgery went well, and that your prognosis is favorable.
