10/11/10

Life continues to be a learning experience and a mountain climb.  I continue to have problems with the chemo drug so they have stopped it and the radiation today.  My mouth for the most part needs to heal before they are going to do anymore.  On Thurs. they hope to restart the radiation treatments and then on Monday hook me back up to the 24/7 chemo at a lower dose.  I am sorry to delay the end of this process but this sore mouth is taking its toll.  I would love to be able to chat with people without the pain.  I probably need to be able to eat better.  They don't like it but I kind of like the fact that I have  lost 10 pounds. :-)  I really appreciate all the notes and cards.  Everyone's love is certainly holding me up in a good place.

  1. Very positive attitude about the weight loss!! HAHAHA! I know how debilitating a painful mouth can be--I have suffered from humongous cankers, 6 or 7 at a time, in the past. Not just difficulty in talking--but all facial expression is different. YUCK! I hope the mouth issues heal FAST!! We are in the midst of supporting a friend through her breast cancer treatment, so even though I'm far away and can't help you more actively, I'll put you on as honorary recietpient of positive vibs every time I help my friend out. AND you are in our prayers--you have a bunch of Eddyblouins praying for your fruitful journey to health.

  3. Hopefully this comment will work. I haven't had much luck. We are on the road in our little camper but I will check in whenever I can. I am so glad I sent you the Facebook note. I guess there is a reason you have been so much on my mind recently. I'll keep you close in my heart and thoughts and send good energy your way.
